Ohio born and raised, Brit Steiner is ready to serve the state’s 49th District.

Hardworking and passionate, Brit grew up surrounded by the beauty and grit of the Ohio Valley and worked hard to become the first in her family to graduate from college.  She went on to spend nearly two decades as a diplomat and public servant, serving under four U.S. Presidents and managing programs and policies that strengthened national security. 

Throughout her career, Brit has led initiatives that drive economic development, promote environmental stewardship, support energy, agriculture, and food security, expand public health, and reduce poverty – experience she’s ready to put to work for her community. 

After returning to Canton to raise her children, Brit focused on her responsibilities as a stay-at-home mom while channeling her expertise and passion into community service.  Now, she’s ready to use her head and heart to fight for the needs of the District and to help ensure it remains a place where her children and future generations can thrive.
